Liebherr's new all-electric transshipment crane hoists up to 2,000 tonnes per hour

Liebherr's new all-electric CBG 500 E transshipment crane offers a handling performance of up to 2,000 tonnes per hour. The CBG 500 E is a heavy-duty transshipment crane that operates emission-free and is environmentally friendly. The machine has been developed so that it can be adapted to its subsequent purpose. The crane can be configured with a 43- or 50-metre boom. The longer boom variant offers the advantage of enabling direct transshipment between two vessels in sheltered and open water.

BHP, Caterpillar, and Finning agree to replace entire Escondida mine haul truck fleet

BHP Group Limited, Caterpillar Inc., and Finning International Inc. have agreed to replace BHP's entire haul truck fleet at the Escondida mine located in northern Chile. This agreement is part of the strategic equipment renewal process developed by Escondida. The new Caterpillar 798 AC electric drive trucks will feature technology that delivers improvements in material-moving capacity, efficiency, reliability, and safety and will generate a positive impact on decarbonization initiatives.

Canadian construction professional Taylor White hosts return of CONEXPO-CON/AGG podcast

The CONEXPO-CON/AGG podcast has launched its new series with Taylor White from Ontario's Ken White Construction as the new host. New podcast episodes will come out one to two times each month via major podcast services. The first episode features Scott Colclough, the owner of Pushysix Media Group. In the episode, they discuss the importance of being authentic both on and off the job site.
