Nye introduces new XCP3 concrete pulverizer design

The new XCP3 “High Five” series heavy duty concrete pulverizer is the latest in a long evolving line of mechanical pulverizers from Nye. These units are designed to outperform conventional hydraulic units in both primary and secondary crushing operations. Nye pulverizers are built entirely from extra thick quenched and tempered alloy plate, ready for years of work on the most demanding jobsites.

Composite cutting edge for excavators and loaders

Nye Manufacturing’s latest development is a Composite Cutting Edge for excavator and loader buckets. Nye took the toughness of QT (Quenched and Tempered alloy) combined with the abrasion resistance of AR (Abrasion Resistant Heat Treated Alloy) to come up with the Duralam cutting edge. The Duralam was designed for ultimate strength and cold weather toughness and achieves this by using a single QT core for strength and an AR outer layer for wear resistance. Every Nye bucket is designed and built specifically for the application. The bucket pictured above is Nye’s ultra heavy duty rock bucket design and was built as per customer’s request with optional heel shrouds, lip shrouds, side bar protectors and the new Duralam composite cutting edge.

Contractor’s grapple

The XCG2 Contractors Grapple is the latest design from Nye. Engineered primarily for demolition work, these units are also excellent for wood waste and construction debris. The XCG2 grapple shown here features increased crushing power, optional biomimetic “alligator” teeth for splitting/crushing wood waste, and an optional AR400 abrasion kit that covers the side and back of each tine.

Heavy-duty ripper

The MOAR (Mother of all Rippers) is a new concept in heavy-duty ripping from Nye. These rippers are built with extra steel plates to make them super heavy. The extra weight is additive to the carriers downward force, yielding penetration and performance that conventional rippers cannot achieve. The MOAR was originally conceived in Nova Scotia for ripping shale on a particularly tough job where blasting was not permitted. Conventional rippers could only scratch the surface and were ineffective at penetrating the stratified rock. MOAR rippers are effective in rock, shale, sandstone, coral, asphalt and frozen ground. Nye produces MOAR rippers for excavators in the 15- to 100-ton range. Quick coupler and pin-grabber models are offered by the company.

Nye parallel link stick extensions

This eight-foot parallel link stick extension is the latest from Nye’s large family for excavators. Nye parallel link stick extensions are lightweight, versatile and will increase the reach of an existing excavator by simply pinning to the end of the OEM stick. Nye parallel link stick extensions are perfect for deep excavating, demolition, dredging, pondwork and numerous other applications. Nye parallel link stick extensions are easy to install and remove as they require no cutting, welding or extra hydraulics. Nye extensions come as a complete package with everything needed to get an excavator up and running as soon as possible. Nye parallel link stick extensions are made entirely from the highest quality 120,000-psi quenched and tempered T1 steel plate, welded with low hydrogen, FCAW mig wire. Hardened alloy pins and bushings are used throughout. Nye produces parallel link stick extensions for excavators in the 15- to 100-ton range.

Biometric crushing jaws

The new XCP3 High Five series of heavy-duty concrete pulverizers is the latest in a long evolving line of mechanical pulverizers from Nye. These units are designed to outperform conventional hydraulic units in both primary and secondary crushing operations. Nye pulverizers are built entirely from extra-thick quenched and tempered alloy plate, ready for years of work on the most demanding jobsites. The XCP3 series features biomimetic crushing jaws modeled after bone-crushing wolf’s teeth. They have canine-type fangs that are perfect for grasping and puncturing material and, at the same time, protecting the noseplate. Jaws are welded in place, not pinned, so they cannot fall out and jam your crusher. A new pinch plate grabs and pulls re-bar. The massively thick side plates around the torque tubes resist twisting. An optional, patented ripper shank – excellent for picking, prying, lifting and flipping heavy slabs – is available. Nye pulverizers are easy to install, require no extra hydraulics and offer simple, safe, almost silent operation.

Heavy-duty concrete pulverizer

The XCP2 series heavy-duty concrete pulverizer from Nye is designed for both primary and secondary crushing operations. It features hardened alloy pins and bushings, thicker steel construction, improved crushing geometry, replaceable AR500 crushing jaws that are welded in, and an optional patented ripper shank, excellent for picking, prying, lifting and flipping heavy slabs. Nye pulverizers are easy to install, require no extra hydraulics and offer simple, safe, near silent operation. Quick coupler and pin grabber models are also available.
