International has returned to the Class 4/5 segment with its introduction of the CV series commercial trucks

It has been a few years since the medium-duty truck landscape featured vehicles carrying the iconic International name. That gap has been filled, as parent company Navistar has launched the International CV series of Class 4/5 trucks – a lineup that features heavy-duty construction and power while meeting the needs of operators seeking trucks that are easily customized.

When the time came to start thinking about updating the WorkStar line, International knew that it had to be careful - they needed to keep all of the popular aspects of those trucks while bringing new ideas and offerings to the table. That was the thinking behind International's new HV line of trucks, which will replace WorkStar trucks in the company's selection, but provide more comfort for drivers and greater flexibility for body builders.

International announces new uptime warranty packages for vocational trucks

International Truck has announced three plans to deliver on its Uptime pledge to vocational truck customers. These include the extension of the International A26 Customer Uptime Assurance Program for vocational models, a new, best-in-class Vocational Confidence Warranty Package and the International A26 Barrel Protection Plan for the International HX Series and International HV Series trucks powered by the International A26 12.4L big bore engine.

International HV vocational lineup adds mid-range diesel versions

International Truck unveiled the International HV Series Mid-Range Diesel (MRD) at World of Concrete 2018, including a bridge formula truck for the concrete industry. The first models of the International HV Series, a new line of vocational trucks designed for serious work, pack brawn and brains into a severe service vehicle, were the HV513 and HV613 trucks launched at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show in September 2017.

Work Truck Show features new vehicles from Chevrolet, Ford, Hino, International and more

Four of North America's leading truck manufacturers have announced they will unveil new vehicles at The Work Truck Show 2018. Chevrolet Commercial Vehicles will reveal its Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD chassis cab trucks. Ford Commercial Vehicles will launch a new commercial vehicle. Hino Trucks will introduce a line of Class 7 and 8 trucks. International Truck will debut what it's calling "the driver's ultimate work truck." Additional OEMs with press conferences scheduled include Ram Commercial, which plans to announce work-truck-related news for the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 truck, Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc. and Mack Trucks Inc. 

Predictive cruise control technology now offered on International on-highway trucks

International Truck has announced it now offers new, predictive cruise control technology on its International ProStar and LoneStar Class 8 on-highway trucks. Unlike conventional predictive cruise technology, International predictive cruise control uses pre-installed GPS maps and the latest commercial route data to make adjustments to cruising speed without the need to pre-drive the route.

International Truck announces first delivery of HX Series in Canada

International Truck has announced that Lime Creek Logging Ltd. of British Columbia, has taken delivery of the first International HX Series in Canada, an HX620 truck configured for logging operations. The International HX620 is a 120-inch BBC set-back axle truck or tractor suitable for a variety of applications including heavy haul tractor, logging, construction dump and platform stake/crane. International Truck recently launched the HX Series, a new line of Class 8 premium vocational trucks designed to deliver the strength and endurance required for the severe service industry, at the 2016 World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas.
