Schwing's new flagship model for 2018 features company's longest boom

Schwing has added a new flagship model for 2018 that features the longest boom in the company's line. The new S 65 SX incorporates a five-section boom, with all five-inch pipeline for added benefits, while maintaining the versatility of their proven Overhead Roll and Fold design.  In addition to providing 210'8" of vertical and 197'6" of horizontal reach, all 65SXs come standard with Schwing's EASy one-sided outrigger system, minimizing the footprint of the pump for set up on crowded jobsites.  The Super X telescopic front outrigger spread is balanced with rear slewing outriggers, which centers the hopper when set up in EASy configurations.  

New Schwing S 38 SX has unique 5-section boom

The new S 38 SX from Schwing combines a tight (22’ 10”) front outrigger spread with a lightweight (Federal Bridge Legal) design and a five-section boom with more articulation than any other boom style. The new model is available in a three-axle configuration with cab-over truck or as a four-axle version with conventional truck to meet federal bridge laws. “This is a concrete pump that defines versatility for concrete contractors and pumpers,“ states Tom O’Malley, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for the manufacturer, “The new boom design hyper extends at every section to exceed the capabilities of Roll and Fold and Z Booms.” Key features of this one of a kind Roll and Fold boom are that all of the articulation is on the working side of the boom for faster deployment and it has the ability to snake the end hose deep into decks. The boom provides 106’11” of horizontal and 122’4” of vertical reach.

Schwing adds Tier 4 engine SP 500 stationary pump

Schwing is now providing their popular SP 500 stationary concrete pump with a Tier 4–compliant Caterpillar diesel engine. This is a response to government-mandated reductions in harmful exhaust gases from diesel-powered equipment. The California Air Resource Board (CARB) requires Tier 4 compliance for stationary pumps used on public and private projects. Other parts of the country are also requiring Tier 4 compliance depending on the locale and project. The CAT C3.4B diesel is rated at 74.5 hp while providing durability and fuel efficiency. Customers will enjoy unprecedented global parts, service and repair options through the CAT dealer network.

Schwing pumping world’s tallest building

At more than 3,281 feet the Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be the tallest building in the world after its scheduled completion in 2020. The observation deck, which will offer a breathtaking view at a height of 630 metres, will break another world record. The skyscraper is part of a new urban development project in Kingdom City, in the North of Jeddah.

Schwing S 46 SX Available on Mack Granite

The popular Schwing S 46 SX is now available on the Mack Granite conventional truck chassis. The S 46 SX provides 151-feet of vertical reach and five-inch pipeline for maximum performance of 213-cubic yards per hour output. The pump is ideal for commercial projects and bridgework.

Chinese manufacturer acquires majority position in Schwing

Schwing Group, an international supplier for concrete machinery, and Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group, a Chinese construction machinery manufacturer, have formed a strategic partnership. Gerhard Schwing, CEO of Schwing and Wang Min, the Chairman of XCMG, signed a contract to this effect in Essen, Germany. 

Schwing powers up with Cat engines for stationary concrete pumps

Schwing America, Inc., Successfully Exits Chapter 11

July 13, 2010. St.Paul, MN. Schwing America,Inc. a leading manufacturer of concrete equipment successfully emerged from Chapter 11. The company’s plan of reorganization was approved by the Federal Bankruptcy Court after nine months of protection. Schwing completed the payoff to existing lenders from funds obtained from a pool of European banks. “With new funding in place we will move forward in the reorganization and growth of Schwing America,” CEO Brian Hazelton announced to the Schwing employees. Hazelton thanked customers, the Schwing family and suppliers for their support. In an unusual display of support, 100- percent of the unsecured creditors voted in favor of  Schwing’s reorganization plan, according to court documents.

The company has increased head count in their Call Center to handle expanding business activity. Hazelton also mentioned that Schwing is planning new model introductions and technologies for the company’s line of concrete pumps, truck mixers and batch plants. Schwing America currently markets throughout North America and was recently assigned sales and marketing responsibilities for Central and South America which will increase revenues. “We are exceeding our forecasts in export sales, “ according to Hazelton, “ And in general, we are very well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities which are in front of us.”
