LIUGONG North America to show Tier 4 Final Machines at The Rental Show

LiuGong North America, had the opportunity to unveil its new Tier 4 Final product line in late 2016 and is taking the opportunity to bring the Dressta dozer model TD-9S, LGP with ROPS to ARA – The Rental Show, that will take place in Orlando, FL from February 27 to March 1st. The new machines feature cleaner engines, more efficient systems and improvements to the cab that enhance the operator’s experience.

DRESSTA’S NEW COMPACT HYDROSTATIC DOZER

At a March international press event in Stalowa Wola, Poland, Dressta laid out its plans for a robust expansion into the North American market. Since being acquired by China-based LiuGong just over three years ago, Dressta has been making moves to consolidate its global positioning in the crawler dozer market as well as layout plans for its growth based on leveraging LiuGong’s investment in Dressta’s research and development.

Dressta To Launch New Hydrostatic Compact Dozers

Dressta is launching its new TD9 Hydrostatic Crawler Dozer. This high-performance, compact crawler dozer has been developed by Dressta’s team of expert engineers, and is the first of three new world-class models that range from 74 to 101 Net HP.

Easier joystick control

Operating the 240-net-horsepower (179-kW) TD20M Extra crawler dozer is easy with the new left-hand, single-lever joystick control. The joystick replaces two left-hand steering levers and one gear shift lever used on the previous model. The operator can pre-select travel speed and down shift functions from the joystick. Several blade options are available, including a new 11.1-cubic-yard (8.45-cubic-metre) full-U blade, and an increased capacity 9.2-cubic-yard (7.04-cubic-metre) semi-U blade.

Maximum bucket power

The Dressta 560E features a Z-bar linkage that transfers maximum breakout force to the bucket to pry out hard packed material. The wheel loader is easy to operate ,with directional transmission and speed shifts controlled by two levers at the operator’s fingertips. It features an articulated frame with a tight turning radius of only 26 feet 4 inches (8.03 m). Hydrostatic steering provides smooth control at any engine speed. Dressta’s 560E Extra features joystick boom and bucket controls, hydrostatic steering, and a high visibility cab. It has a payload capacity of 7 to 15 cubic yards (5.35 to 11.5 cubic metres) to go along with a 92,549-pound (41,980-kg) operating weight. The turbocharged six-cylinder Cummins engine provides 427 net hp (319 kW). A 6,390-pound (2,900-kg) counterweight, previously optional equipment, is now standard.

Dressta’s new TD-40E EXTRA crawler dozer

Dressta has introduced the TD-40E EXTRA crawler dozer featuring a quieter, environmentally-friendly, Cummins QSK19 Tier 3 engine. This new model delivers an enhanced drawbar pull resulting from a higher maximum torque of 1,755 lb-ft, up from the 1,650 lb-ft of the previous model. The new engine delivers 515 net horsepower at 2,000 rpm. Engine displacement continues at 1,150 cubic inches. The TD-40E EXTRA has an operating weight of 136,509 pounds and a full-U blade capacity of 29.8 cubic yards. The cooling module has a two-speed fan with a 50 inches diameter blade to handle the cooling characteristics of the new Tier 3 engine. The low speed fan conserves power while providing a quieter operation when working with lighter loads or to deliver an extra boost of power for short periods under heavy load conditions. Also released with the TD-40E EXTRA are a gear range pre-selection system and an automatic downshift function which offers the operator the choice of various automatic operating modes; especially useful in repetitive cyclical operations. Contributing to a comfortable full day of work is the standard six-sided cab, which offers a deluxe interior with superior all-around visibility. The cab is sealed and has a built-in air re-circulation system. It has a sound suppression system and is separated from the engine compartment for a quieter, more comfortable ride. The air-suspension operator’s seat swivels 14 degrees to the right for better blade and ripper viewing and enhanced control.

Quieter, environmentally-friendly engine on dozer

Dressta NA has introduced the TD-40E EXTRA crawler dozer featuring a quieter, environmentally-friendly, Cummins QSK19 Tier 3 engine. This new model delivers an enhanced drawbar pull resulting from a higher maximum torque of 1,755 lb.-ft., up from the 1,650 lb.-ft. of the previous model. The new engine delivers 515 net horsepower at 2,000 rpm. Engine displacement continues at 1,150 cubic inches The TD-40E EXTRA has an operating weight of 136,509 pounds and a full-U blade capacity of 29.8 cubic yards. The cooling module has a two-speed fan with a 50-inch diameter blade to handle the cooling characteristics of the new Tier 3 engine. The low speed fan conserves power while providing a quieter operation when working with lighter loads or to deliver an extra boost of power for short periods under heavy load conditions. Also released with the TD-40E EXTRA are a gear range preselection system and an automatic downshift function which offers the operator the choice of various automatic operating modes, especially useful in repetitive cyclical operations. Contributing to a comfortable full day of work is the standard six-sided cab, which offers a deluxe interior with superior all-around visibility. The two doors and sliding side and rear windows provide excellent viewing from within the cab. To go along with the large view area out of the cab, excellent blade and ripper sight lines make it easier for the operator to have precise control of the machine. The cab is sealed and has a built-in air re-circulation system. It has a sound suppression system and is separated from the engine compartment for a quieter, more comfortable ride. The air-suspension operator's seat is adjustable and equipped with full arm rests and a three-inch retractable seat belt. The seat swivels 14 degrees to the right for better blade and ripper viewing and enhanced controllability designed to reduce operator fatigue. The joystick control provides up and down shifting of the transmission, Lo or Hi range selection of both left and right track drives, or full power geared turns. Pushing the right or left rocker switch selects the desired Hi or Lo range. Moving the joystick forward or backward moves the dozer in the same direction - a Front/Rear (F/R) detent provides hands-free motion. Moving the joystick left or right activates clutch-brake or pivot type turns.

Dressta 555C Extra

The newest addition to the Dressta lineup is the 555C Extra wheel loader, featuring a new turbocharged, in-line six-cylinder Cummins QSM11 engine. This 10.8-litre, Tier 3 certified engine delivers 319 net horsepower (238 kW) at 2,100 rpm, or 330 net horsepower (247 kW) with minimum fan usage. Maximum torque is 1,235 lb-ft (1674 Nm) at 1,400 rpm. This 6.5-cubic-yard-size wheel loader can be equipped with buckets ranging from 5.5 to 11.0 cubic yards (4.2 to 8.4 cubic metres) and has an approximate operating weight of 66,380 pounds (30,110 kg). Dressta has added a new cooling module and upgraded the hydraulics system to allow for a variable speed fan that provides greater cooling and potentially more horsepower. The battery has been moved to the rear of the machine above the steps for easier access. The 555C Extra features an electrically controlled, full-power-shift, four-speed countershaft transmission driven by a double universal joint from the torque converter. This provides proper ground speed match for alloperations. Other major features of the 555C Extra include hydrostatic steering, single lever hydraulic controls, and internal wet disc brakes. The “picture window” cab offers exceptional visibility in all directions.

Crawler dozers deliver higher power and torque

Dressta’s new TD-25M Extra and TD-25M LA (Landfill Application) EXTRA series of crawler dozers feature an increase to 330 hp and an 11 percent increase in torque to 1,346 ft-lb. Maximum power is now attained at 1800 rpm, 300 rpm lower than previously, reducing overall noise levels. To absorb the higher power and torque at lower engine speeds, Dressta has revised the torque converter, hydraulic pump drives, and final drives. Also new is a gear range preselection system and an automatic downshift function which offers various automatic operating modes, especially useful in repetitive cyclical operations.
