Tree limb shear attachment

Tree limb shear attachment

Gradall excavator versatility takes a giant step forward with a unique tree limb shear attachment. The full tilting action of the Gradall boom allows an operator to put the attachment at the correct angle to productively trim branches and limbs that extend over roadways. The low working profile of the Gradall telescoping boom also allows an operator to position the carrier and work under tree limb obstructions – something that is not possible with a conventional knuckle boom.

The Tree Limb Shear attachment’s jaws are powered by the excavator’s tool cylinder and controlled by joysticks in the operator’s cab, located away from falling debris.

The attachment can typically cut through large branches 8 or 10 inches in diameter. The tilting boom and the attachment’s jaws also can be used to pick up and pile branches, or load them into a truck.
