The compact Vantage 400 engine-driven welder/generator features Lincoln Chopper Technology for easy starts and a smooth arc for stick, downhill pipe, TIG, wire welding and arc gouging. Units use a quiet, smooth-running four-cylinder, water-cooled 1,800 rpm Perkins diesel engine and provide 400 amps of DC welding output, 19,000 watts peak of 3-Phase and 12,000 watts peak of 1-Phase AC generator power. These units are ideal for construction, pipe or rental fleets and are housed in a compact, corrosion-resistant stainless steel case.
The Vantage 400 also features a standard VRD (Voltage Reduction Device). VRD allows the operator to select a lower open circuit voltage for added safety in the CC-Stick welding mode, especially when working in an environment with a higher risk of electrical shock.
