RockHoundNEWS Attachment’s 40EXT weighs over 1,300 pounds and is designed for professional brush clearing durability. It is built with 250-hp components, such as the cutter drum that is over a half inch thick, mounting ears that are 5/8 inch thick, end plates that are 3/4 inch thick and the abrasion resistant (AR) plate shroud of 3/8 inch. The biggest innovation is the new Extreme hammer knife configuration. This triple knife design gives the best of both a two-pound knife and swinging hammer combined. It cuts more quickly, mulches heavy vegetation into even smaller pieces than the double knife design and has extended knife life by up to 40 percent.
