The family of VMAC owner, Tony Menard, has appointed Jim Hogan as company president to help guide the company as it continues realizing Tony's vision and insight. Tony died unexpectedly on July 4, 2010.

Jim Hogan, the longtime partner who helmed VMAC with Tony for over 20 years, has returned from running his own company, Hogan Engineering, to assume the role of VMAC company president. "I am very happy that Jim has accepted this position. He has a history with this company that goes to its very origins along with an intimate understanding of our product lines. We are all behind him to ensure that VMAC continues the tradition of delivering quality products," said Rick Warwick, VMAC General Manager.

Hogan met Menard in junior high school in Nanaimo. They both earned engineering degrees at the University of B.C., where Menard focused on mechanical engineering and Hogan on engineering physics.

Though no funeral service will be held, a Celebration of Life service will be scheduled and announced for sometime in the coming months.

VMAC and the Menard family have experienced a flood of condolences and supportive wishes from Tony's friends, the community and VMAC customers and business associates. "We're grateful for the support that's been shown to us during this difficult time," said VMAC Controller, Ann Evans.

VMAC continues to conduct business as usual, serving our dealers and customers with the same attention, care and award-winning quality.
