Economical hydronic heater

Ground Heaters’ new S3000 Ground Heater, an economy version of its proven hydronic ground thawing and concrete curing equipment, is ideal for large rental applications.

With its standard equipment, the S3000 is able to thaw up to 4,500 square feet to a maximum of one-foot deep per day or heat up to 6,000 square feet of ground – indoors or out to prepare for concrete placement, prevent frost penetration or assure proper concrete curing. The S3000’s deep thaw capability can thaw up to a depth of 10 feet in a single application, meaning further excavation and re-thawing are kept to a minimum. Additionally, because the hydronic heater isn’t pressurized, there is no requirement to constantly monitor the equipment as with steam heating options. The flexible hoses can be placed alongside footings, strung in long parallel lines or serpentine in any configuration to accommodate a variety of jobs.

A digital temperature controller allows the operator to easily adjust Heat Transfer Fluid output temperatures. This is ideal for the temperature sensitive process of concrete curing.

In addition, the S3000 can be accessorized with Liquid-to-Air Heat Xchangers to provide clean, hot air for 120,000 cubic feet of workspace. It increases construction productivity by allowing equipment and crews to keep working all year long.

An onboard generator is optional with the S3000. Available with a 5.5-kilowatt Onan liquid-cooled diesel generator, the S3000 can power peripheral job-site equipment, making the unit useful even when it’s not being used for thawing, curing or heating.
