Manitou’s tallest MRT rotating telehandler beats previous model by 17 feet
Performing as a telehandler, mobile crane, and aerial work platform, the MRT 4080 features higher heavy-lifting performance

Manitou Group has introduced the largest "High Lift" model in its MRT Vision+ rotating telehandler range. The new 5-section boom rotator provides a lifting height of 131 feet 3 inches (40 metres), which is 17 feet higher than the previous MRT 3570 model, and provides up to 17,630 pounds (8,000 kilograms)m lifting capacity. The maximum outreach of 88 feet makes it possible to complete complex handling and lifting jobs with ease.
Key features of Manitou's MRT 4080 rotating telehandler
The MRT 4080 is designed with innovative features focused on comfort, performance, energy savings, safety, and efficiency. These include a 3-in-1 capability to function simultaneously as a telehandler, mobile crane, and aerial work platform. This versatility guarantees optimal performance on construction and industrial sites, while adjustable stabilization and unparalleled ground clearance allow for quick and safe setup, even on restricted or all-terrain worksites.
- The Manitou Telescopic Boom Management (MTBM) offers dual-patented innovation (hydraulic and electronic) with boom sections that are controlled independently and automatically. This boom design ensures precision and performance at very high reach.
- With 360-degree turret rotation and exceptional cab visibility, the MRT 4080 allows users to perform operations without repositioning the machine to reduce downtime.
- A Stop and Start function is now standard to reduce fuel consumption. This feature automatically shuts down the engine and associated hour meter when the MRT 4080 rotating telehandler is idling without hydraulic activity or machine movement, based on a time setting. It also provides a fast restart when the operator interacts with the joystick and/or the throttle pedal.
- The 155 kW (211 hp) Yanmar Stage V engine provides the power to handle tough applications, while also meeting the latest emissions standards.
Other important features include the Manitou Safety System (MSS), a load indicating and limiting device; 4-sided chassis floor access and quick stabilization even on rough terrain; and the Manitou E-RECO attachment recognition system. This system automatically sets the correct load charts and includes a remote control that displays load moment limits while the operator is standing outside the cab. The machine's Hydrostatic CVT Transmission automatically adapts to and limits travel speed based on the attachment and live load weight.
Available attachments include an extension jib with winch, floating fork carriage, variable speed winch, and standard winch, plus a slewing extendible platform with winch.
