ProAll, a Canadian producer of mobile volumetric concrete mixing technology, has introduced its latest innovation, the L20R lightweight concrete volumetric mixer. Designed to meet the evolving needs of the construction industry, the L20R offers a practical solution for small- to mid-sized concrete producers and contractors by eliminating the requirement for a commercial driver's license, subject to local weight regulations.

The mixer will be shown the industry for the first time at World of Concrete 2026, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 20 to 22, 2026.

A lightweight concrete mixer to solve real-world problems

The L20R has been engineered to address one of the industry's most pressing challenges: the shortage of CDL-qualified operators. With a gross vehicle weight rating under 25,950 lbs, the mixer can be transported using standard pickup trucks while delivering professional-grade concrete output that meets Volumetric Mixer Manufacturers Bureau (VMMB) standards. It features intuitive controls for accurate mix specifications, flexible brake options, and compatibility with skid steer loaders for efficient aggregate loading. Operators can also benefit from bag-fill capability, eliminating the need for silos for smaller producers.

"The L20R solves a real problem facing our industry," said Derrick Murias, general manager at ProAll. "We've applied decades of proven engineering to create a machine that delivers reliable concrete production without the complexity or licensing barriers that limit operator availability."

The L20R will be available with multiple chassis options, including both ProAll-supplied and customer-supplied configurations. Standard equipment includes a 100-gallon water tank, aggregate and cement bin vibrators, manual mesh tarp, swivel chute, and aluminum chute. Optional features such as admixture dosing and environmental capture bags are also offered.

"The introduction of the L20R reflects our commitment to practical innovation," Murias added. "By focusing on accessibility and simplicity, we're helping contractors and producers overcome workforce challenges while maintaining the quality and performance they expect."
