Trimble Earthworks now available for towed and wheeled tractor scrapers
Grade control for towed and wheeled tractor scrapers can utilize real-time blade position and control when cutting and filling

Trimble Earthworks grade control platform is now available for select towed and wheeled tractor scrapers, allowing civil construction contractors to cut and load, haul and dump, and spread material evenly to grade. It also simplifies operator training, with the entire equipment fleet now using the Trimble Earthworks platform.
Scraper operators can now utilize Trimble Earthworks to provide real-time blade position and control relative to a design surface so the operator knows exactly how much to cut or fill at every stage when moving large volumes of dirt quickly and efficiently over medium- to long-haul distances.
The Trimble Earthworks system automates grade control, helping operators cut, carry, and spread soil with greater accuracy, consistency, and speed, which reduces the need for rework, shortens cycle times, and lowers overall project costs. These benefits are particularly relevant for highway construction, large site prep, mining reclamation, and other bulk earthmoving projects where accuracy, repeatability, and productivity directly affect profitability.
Grade control for mass excavation
Display design information and live cut/fill indications in the cab and excavate in a safer, stakeless environment. Monitor avoidance zones in real-time, collect as-built data as the machine cuts to grade and see precisely where dirt is being moved on site.
Maximize material efficiency
Achieve cleaner, more accurate cuts and fills with every pass. Hit the exact design depth, virtually eliminating costly over- or undercutting, and get consistent bowl loading and smoother hauling, ensuring your team moves material with greater confidence and predictability.
Eliminate rework and grade checks
Stop rework before it starts. Material is unloaded precisely to grade, eliminating the need for extra dozer or grader work. This streamlined workflow gives supervisors real-time, accurate insights into cut and fill volumes without the need for manual grade checks or cycle counts.
Applications
Optimized for high-volume earthmoving projects such as:
- Highway construction and other infrastructure project
- Site preparation
- Landfill operations
- Land and mining reclamation projects
- Dam and reservoir construction
