Certified KOBELCO dealers now offer enhanced Trimble Earthworks solutions across North America
The expanded dealer program streamlines access, installation, and support for Trimble 2D and 3D grade control on KOBELCO excavators

KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA and Trimble have announced an expanded collaboration, making the Trimble Earthworks grade control platform, including 2D guidance and control systems, available directly through select KOBELCO dealers across North America.
Since 2017, KOBELCO has offered a factory-installed, Trimble Ready option for multiple models. This new dealer-based program simplifies the process for customers to acquire excavators pre-equipped with Trimble Earthworks, and provides training, service, and support directly through certified KOBELCO dealers.
The expanded program enables participating dealers to install Trimble 2D machine guidance and control systems and offers customers an upgrade pathway to full 3D grade control.
KOBELCO's solutions address a range of contractor needs, such as consistent grade accuracy using manual control and semi-autonomous excavation with automated boom and bucket movement.
Dealer certification ensures seamless support
KOBELCO has established a rigorous dealer certification program to ensure smooth integration and support for customers. Certification includes online courses, in-person training sessions, demo equipment, a spare parts inventory, and a dedicated technology champion at each location. Certified dealers can:
- Offer pre-configured Trimble Earthworks 2D solutions at competitive pricing
- Finance grade control systems alongside equipment purchases
- Deliver faster installations using factory sensor mounts on select models
- Support future upgrades to Trimble Earthworks 3D grade control via the SITECH distribution channel
Model compatibility and availability
Trimble Earthworks 2D systems are compatible with a range of KOBELCO excavators equipped with factory sensor mounts, streamlining installation and ensuring a smooth customer experience. Both companies are committed to providing contractors with accessible, integrated grade control solutions that improve jobsite productivity, precision, and efficiency.
"This collaboration allows KOBELCO dealers to offer proven technology that enhances productivity, reduces overcut, and shortens project timelines," says Dan Collins, director of product development & marketing at KOBELCO USA.
"We expect today's announcement will make it easier for KOBELCO customers to take advantage of seamless integration into the Trimble technology ecosystem," adds Scott Crozier, vice president, civil construction field systems at Trimble.
