Magni has expanded its range of rotating telehandlers with the launch of the RTH 8.39. The new model is part of the 8-tonne range alongside Magni's 8.27, 8.35, and 8.46.

The 8.39 is the result of Magni redesigning the 6.39. The new model offers improved load charts because of a 2-tonne (4,409-pound) increase in lifting capacity.

The feature of this model, like the RTH 8.35 and RTH 8.46, is its two extension modes. These modes give access to two different load charts, to help maximize performance in all operating conditions.

The standard extension mode, M1, offers the operator maximum reach and higher load capacities at the maximum height, while the M2 mode restricts reach to provide increased load capacity. This translates into a lifting capacity of 8 tonnes (17,600 pounds) up to 13 metres (42 feet), 400 kilograms (881 pounds) with a horizontal reach of 27 metres (88 feet), and 2.3 tonnes (5,070 pounds) at a maximum reach of 38.8 metres (127 feet). Compared to the previous 6.39 model, the 8.39 delivers a 33 percent higher load capacity at the machine's maximum reach in both modes.

The cabin of the Magni RTH 8.39 rotating telehandler Magni

Common to the entire RTH range, the ROPS/FOPS Level 2 cab offers safety and visibility thanks to its extensive glazed areas and slender steering column. With the easy access system, getting in and out of the cab is facilitated by a slight stagger between the turret and chassis.

The interior utilizes hard-wearing panelling and quality finishes, produced by injection moulding. The LED courtesy lights illuminate when the door is opened and gradually fade out once the machine is switched off. The air flows deliver effective defrosting while an adjustable sunblind provides shade on sunny days

The lift-up armrests create the space for a storage pocket on the right-hand side. A case to protect the remote control from wear and knocks is provided behind the seat. The RTH 8.39 is also equipped with an air-suspended tilting seat with a headrest.

The 8.39 utilizes an MCTS (Magni Combi touch system) onboard control system. Consulted through a 12-inch touch screen, the RTH range's software provides easy, intuitive use with user-friendly icons to identify the various functions. The various themed areas are accessed directly from the main menu screen, for a smoother, pleasanter user experience.

The Magni LLD (Live Load Diagram) system offers three different modes for displaying the load chart screen for effective control of the operating limits:

  • Standard, with all the load bands;
  • Dynamic, showing the working area available with the load lifted;
  • Dynamic 360-degree, for viewing the working area available from above, enables greater precision in varying stability conditions.

Like the other RTH machines, the 8.39 is equipped as standard with a rearview camera displayed on the MCTS monitor, that is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged.
