(VIDEO) Giant excavators back Britain's war effort in 1942 film "Teeth of Steel"

In 1942, with World War II in full swing, industries in Great Britain were working hard to keep up with wartime manufacturing demand. Whether digging stone for construction, ore for refining and weapons manufacture, or dirt for drainage ditches to expand farmland, one machine was doing many of the big jobs: excavators. This film shows how huge excavators with "Teeth of Steel" backed up the British war effort.
