(VIDEO) Road crews conquer rugged Australian terrain in vintage highway construction film

In this vintage film footage we head south - way south, to the rugged hillsides of Australia. In the late 1960s a new expressway was built through the countryside of New South Wales, from Sydney to Newcastle. This stretch, from Berowra to Hawkesbury River, cut through some challenging terrain. Watch this 1969 film from NSW Roads to see how these crews got the job done.
