The future is now for electric construction equipment, and Volvo Construction Equipment will showcase the latest advancements in emobility at The Utility Expo with in-person and virtual events — highlighted by the opportunity for attendees to operate the commercially available ECR25 electric excavator and L25 electric wheel loader.

"We're excited to get people into the operator seat of our compact electric excavator and wheel loader so they can experience first-hand the zero emissions, low noise and high performance these machines offer," said Stephen Roy, President of Region North America, Volvo CE. "At the same time, we know that interest in what's happening goes beyond those who will be at the show, so we have an exciting virtual experience that will bring the Volvo booth to them."

Two ECR25 electric compact excavators and an L25 electric compact wheel loader will be at the Volvo booth at The Utility Expo taking place from September 28 to 30 in Louisville.

Attendees can also talk with experts from Volvo and Beam Global about the latest advancements in charging technology. Volvo is working with Beam on a solar fast charger as part of the Volvo extended offering with the electric compact machines.

Volvo's latest concept model will be at the show, offering a future-forward look at automation, hybrid engine and asphalt compaction technologies. In addition, Volvo will also feature its ECR58 short-swing excavator and the DD25 compactor.

Volvo will also host several exclusive livestreams and videos, including walk-arounds and demonstrations of the ECR25 and L25 electric machines, Q&A sessions with Volvo experts and a panel with customers who have used the electric machines on their jobsites.
