At World of ConcreteChicago Pneumatic Power Technique (CP) introduced the CPLT V4W light tower – which the company says is best in class in high altitude, extreme elements and working conditions – to the North American market. The new light tower is robust and durable, featuring a Kubota 8-kW, three-cylinder watercooled engine and Red Rock enclosure made of polyethylene.

The Red Rock enclosure coupled with the light tower's compact size, ease of transportation, safety and environmental features and lighting performance makes the light tower a great solution for any jobsite. It can be used in a wide range of applications and industries, including public lighting, events, roadwork, construction sites and general industry work.

The CPLT V4W offers high performance and luminosity with four metal halide floodlights x 1,000 Watts. With a 42-gallon fuel tank, the light tower is capable of 90 hours of operation with all four lamps before refuelling, maximizing productivity and illumination time.

Other features include easy service access with wide wing doors to allow 100 percent access to the machine, including service components and drains. In addition, the CPLT V4W has an environmentally friendly frame design that prevents oil, fluids and fuel from leaking out and contaminating the ground.

The CPLT V4W offers user-friendly control and power panels. This includes independent circuit breakers and an hour meter and key switch for quick starting. This model includes power outlets of 120 Volts and 240 Volts to run other tools on the jobsite.

A galvanized vertical five-section mast can be raised to 25 feet high with block spacers to reduce mast friction. The winch is manual type as standard, electrical as an option.

The light tower has several standard features adding significant value and versatility. These include spill containment, four heavy-duty stabilizers with a level bubble to withstand extreme weather conditions, a lifting beam with forklift pockets and a heavy-duty lifting eye for easy transport.

"Our focus at CP is ensuring peak performance and optimizing lifespan and resale value of our light tower lineup," said Angel Nieto, product manager for power and light at Chicago Pneumatic Power Technique. "This model is robust and durable in every specification of the machine. From luminosity to fuel consumption to run time, the CPLT V4W has many user benefits out on the jobsite."

The model's transport dimensions include a length of 71 inches by width of 54 inches and height of 117 inches, weighing slightly over 1,800 pounds.
