Brokk has introduced the Brokk 520D. Meeting both Tier 4 Final and Europe's Stage IV emission standards, Brokk says that the new machine is the most eco-friendly diesel demolition robot on the market. The 520D replaces the Brokk 400D, one of the first diesel models released, and comes equipped with Brokk's signature SmartConcept technology, boasting 40 percent more hitting power.
Aquajet Systems AB has introduced the Ergo Climber attachment for its new Ergo System hydrodemolition robot. The Climber attaches to any standard scaffolding pipes and robotically moves along them to deliver powerful hydrodemolition forces for systematic vertical concrete or refractory removal, such as high-rise construction, petrochemical facilities, and other industrial applications.
Brokk has introduced the new Brokk 300, which features 40 percent more demolition power than its predecessor, the Brokk 280. It also boasts Brokk SmartConcept technological features that improve power management, reliability, maintainability and ergonomics.
Wacker Neuson once again held its popular Trowel Challenge competition at the 2019 World of Concrete, January 22–26 in Las Vegas. As the competition has continued to gain loyalty, many familiar faces returned to compete for the grand prize, a Wacker Neuson eight-foot CRT48-37V ride-on trowel. Over 100 operators from around the world competed for the fastest time as they maneuvered through the tight turns of the 1,750-square-foot course.
DEUTZ Corporation showed its growing range of engines at World of Concrete. This year's highlights were two new diesel engines (D1.2 / D1.7) in the sub-19-kW power range. DEUTZ Corporation is procuring them from Kukje Machinery Co. and will market them under its own brand name from the second quarter of 2019 onwards. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect and are envisaging a long-term partnership. This agreement takes DEUTZ a further step closer toward creating a modular product kit and expands its offering in the sub-19 kW power range. The engines also open up opportunities for new applications and – together with electric and hybrid concepts – represent a further response to the current market trend toward downsizing.
