MAV High Frequency Compactor and NOX Tilt Rotator make powerful combination

The producer of crane and excavator attachments, Germany-based Kinshofer GmbH, and its Swedish subsidiary RF-System AB have joined forces to hone the development of compactor / tilt rotator combinations, and specifically - high frequency compactors.

After in-depth trials at Kinshofer’s, German testing facility, units are now offered worldwide. Practical stress tests were carried out in Kinshofer’s Action Park, where the Head of the test lab operated himself the newly developed Attachment/Excavator combination, and confirmed; “this is the future-today” for Compactor/Tilt-Rotator combinations.

With the MAV high frequency compactor, soft or semi-solid earthy soil and gritty substrates can be easily and economically compacted from the excavator – and in perfect combination when coupled with a NOX tilt rotator.   The MAV operates as an integrated but very movable part of the excavator. The compactor is available for excavators from 1 to 45 t operating weight. It can be equipped with the upper brackets of all popular quick change systems. The MAV high frequency compactor achieves MAXIMUM efficiency in combination with a NOX Tilt Rotator. Plus, two Heavy Duty carrying straps increase the lifetime of the lateral mounting and compensation rubbers.

The powerful combination of tilt rotator (in this case a NOX TR10) and high frequency compactor (MAV 08) provide users with the following advantages:

 Efficiency: time saving when compared to conventional manual compactors. Better access to confined areas of operation. Working is possible without "ground staff".

 Security: Compared with manual compactors, the accident risk is far lower while positioning, (no oscillation) or during compaction. Total control (no tilting) on soft surfaces.

 Versatility: Not only vertical compaction on level ground, but perfect for operating and working on slopes and embankments.

These are the primary advantages offered by vibrating plates attached to tilt rotators in general. More specific are the following advantages of the MAV high frequency compactor:

 The MAV suits smaller excavators as well as Heavy Line.  Slim-optimized design with very low height. Low weight. Reduced hydraulic flow.

 Adaptability: The top of the housing box is flat and allows for easy installation of the upper brackets of all popular coupling  and quick change systems.

 High compression depth: Variable frequency provides maximum and improved compaction at depth, due to a high operating frequency up to 75 Hz. If you commence compaction with high frequency and low amplitude, most efficient and stable compaction is achieved.

 Extremely effective vibration damping protects both man and machine! A possible health risk is eliminated when compared with manual compactors.

 Improved compaction depth on floating material by higher frequency. Sand with a 10% humidity is floating at 56 Hz .

  Longevity: wear parts are made of special steel. The design of the carrier ropes, increases the longevity of the lateral rubber dampers. This becomes evident especially when lifting the unit from absorbent substrates such as clay.
