PKX301T Trash Pump

PKX301T Trash Pump

Subaru displayed its PKX301T Trash Pump World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The trash pump combines a powerful engine, heavy-duty construction and reliable performance to move high volumes of trash water without clogging the pump.

A high-quality Subaru overhead cam engine powers the PKX301T, and the pump and engine built as an integrated unit provides maximum performance and dependability.   The centrifugal-type PKX301T pump is powered by the EX27, a 9-horsepower overhead cam engine, and offers a delivery volume of 314 gallons per minute. It features a 3-inch discharge outlet and can handle solid debris up to 1-1/4 inches.

The trash pumps are also available in models with 2- and 4-inch discharge outlets, and a Subaru overhead cam or overhead valve gasoline engine powers each model.

The 2-inch PKX201T is powered by the EX17, a 6.0-horsepower overhead cam engine, and offers a delivery volume of 185 gallons per minute, while the 4-inch PTV405T is powered by the EH34D, an 11.0-horsepower overhead valve engine, and offers a delivery volume of 528 gallons per minute. The 2-inch model can handle solid debris up to 3/4 inch, and the 4-inch model can handle solid debris up to 1-1/4 inches.

Subaru trash pumps are constructed with high-quality, heavy-duty materials to offer durability for the most demanding jobsites. A hardened cast-iron volute effectively withstands suspended sticks, stones and other debris sucked through the strainer, while an abrasion-resistant, cast-iron three-blade impeller and replaceable wear plate ensure long life and low maintenance. After adding water to the pump casing, all trash pumps are self-priming, and the advanced volute design drives water straight into the cavity for fast priming. The silicon-carbide seal increases the durability of the self-lubricating mechanical seal and provides many hours of trouble-free service.

A rugged, long-lasting strainer is standard and protects pump components from large solids, while the hole diameter helps prevent large debris from entering the suction hose. A strong aluminum die-cast housing withstands the debris allowed. For durability and protection, a heavy-duty steel roll cage wraps around the entire pump.

Other standard features include a toolkit, hose band and three-year warranty. The PTV405T also includes hose couplings.   The automatic decompression, easy-pull recoil starter and Hot Spark® ignition system provide easy and reliable starting. The large-capacity fuel tank extends operation time, while its special coating helps prevent rust from forming inside the tank. A large fuel opening allows easy pouring and the cleanable mesh intake strainer helps prevent debris from reaching the engine. Four extra-large anti-vibration mounts ensure a smooth-running engine and keep the unit from shifting during operation.

Routine maintenance can be completed in the field with common hand tools. Four stainless steel cap screws hold together the aluminum casings, and all wear parts are exposed when the cover is removed, making maintenance convenient. The large plastic plugs make draining and filling easier and eliminate corrosion between the plugs and casing. Additionally, suction and discharge nipples have standard NPT fittings for quick, easy hose connections.
