Subaru offers industrial RGX generators powered by overhead cam engines

Subaru’s RGX Industrial Generators combine premium features and heavy-duty construction to offer a reliable power source to a variety of end-users. Two models are included in the line, the RGX6500 and RGX7500, providing a mid-range option in Subaru’s extensive Industrial Generator lineup. Featuring top-of-the-line components including powerful overhead cam (OHC) EX Series engines, the RGX Generators are designed to handle the needs of both large and small professional contractors, industrial users and rental centers. Now, the Industrial RGX Generators are backed by Subaru’s new industry-leading 5-year limited warranty covering both the generator and engine.

Emergency preparedness

During this time of year, flooding and power losses are common side effects of volatile weather. Two critical pieces of equipment to have on hand during storm season are pumps and generators. Small de-watering pumps are ideal for moving water, while portable generators are crucial in the event of a loss of power. Different models of pumps and generators exist and each are targeted at unique applications or demands. Understanding the difference between various models will help in deciding which unit is best to rent.

Subaru displayed its PKX301T Trash Pump World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The trash pump combines a powerful engine, heavy-duty construction and reliable performance to move high volumes of trash water without clogging the pump.

Subaru inverter technology reduces running sound

Subaru inverter generators feature the latest in inverter generator technology. Models in the line include the R1700i at 1,650 watts, the RG3200iS at 3,200 watts, and the RG4300iS – the first-ever 4,300-watt inverter generator. The advanced inverter technology significantly reduces running sound. Conventional generator designs run the engine at full speed regardless of the amount of power being used.

Generators feature automatic idle control

Subaru presents its line of conventional generators, constructed to handle the rugged demands of contractors. The RGX2900, RGX3600, RGX4800 and RGX4800E models use Subaru EX series overhead cam engines, with maximum outputs ranging between 2,900 and 4,800 watts. The RGV6100, RGV6100E, RGV7500, RGV7500E, RGV12100 and RGV13100T use Subaru EH series overhead valve engines. Maximum outputs for the RGV line range from 5,800 to 13,000 watts. An automatic idle control comes standard on most conventional models to lower the engine speed when no electrical power is needed, which lessens fuel consumption while minimizing noise. Sound-suppressing air cleaners paired with an extra-large muffler also contribute to quieter operation.
