Self-propelled broom
Challenger V is a front-mounted self-propelled broom powered by an 80-hp Caterpillar diesel engine with responsive hydrostatic drive. The seven-foot Sweepster brush system makes changing the brush core quick and easy. New joystick controls put all brush functions at the operator’s fingertips and LeeBoy’s brush down-pressure system reduces brush wear and maximizes brush life.
Designed for maneuverability, the Challenger V has a sweep angle of +/- 40 degrees and its rear steering allows the unit to pivot around its own centre, providing an inside turning radius of three feet. These features make the Challenger V perfect for parking lot contractors, road crews and grounds maintenance personnel.
With its heavy-duty ¾-inch steel construction and 7,500-pound weight, the Challenger V is built to handle a wide variety of job site applications. The broom also features a 150-gallon pressurized brush watering system to control dust.
