New tilt angle blade for compact excavators

Kubota Canada has introduced a new Tilt Angle Blade feature on their KX121 model excavator. The dozer blade not only angles 25 degrees right or left horizontally, but also tilts up or down 10 degrees, and six-way blade movement provides high versatility.

The angle movement reduces the need to continually reposition the excavator when backfilling a trench, and allows units to move parallel to the trench while backfilling. The tilt movement is ideal for shaping on slopes or swails, and for levelling the excavator when working on a slope. Combined with the blade’s float position, back-grading is also more efficient, and the overall width of the blade is two inches wider on each side than the outside edges of the tracks. These blades also feature a two-piece cutting edge, and include a new indicator on top of the blade to help judge its position when tilted or angled.
