Rotary hammers are lighter; have two speed modes

Hitachi Power Tools introduced two new SDS plus Lithium Ion cordless rotary hammers: the DH18DL and DH25DAL.
The 18-volt DH18DL is a compact and powerful addition to Hitachi’s 18V interchangeable battery platform. The DH25DAL is powered by a 25.2-volt battery that is 35 percent lighter than competitive 36-volt batteries. In addition to advanced lithium ion battery technology, these hammers are packed with features to maximize durability, user comfort and convenience including dual speed modes, idle strike restrictors, tool-less chucks, and accessible carbon brushes.
Both rotary hammers feature factory set slip clutches that protect the user and the gears in the event of a bound bit, while the idle strike restrictors prevents no-load hammering to eliminate unnecessary wear on integral parts. Both hammers also feature two step speed switches. The power mode delivers fast and efficient drilling in large diameter drilling applications. The save mode conserves battery power and prevents the bending of smaller diameter bits.
