Heavy-duty, carry-all scraper tackles tough jobs
Weighing in at nearly 25,000 pounds, the new Ashland CS18-HD tackles the toughest applications and material types with ejector-grade durability - allowing contractors to move more dirt at lower costs per yard and with greater day-to-day reliability. Ideal for use with high horsepower (325+) rubber-tracked or wheeled tractors, the CS18-HD maximizes its power unit by transferring a portion of the weight for greater traction. Plus, its standard 23.5 x 25 E3/L3 12-ply tires, lower ground pressure, and longer rolling radius allow excellent flotation and operational ease in marginally wet or clay soils, as well as in sandy loams or dry topsoil.

Importantly, the CS18-HD is engineered for maximum uptime and higher production capacity. Its lift cylinders are mounted higher to keep dirt and rocks out, while its four tires are set away from the bowl, allowing dirt to flow through to the ground and preventing the tires from plugging or skidding. And, to prevent any buildup and dragging of loose material by the front section, its massive 16-inch-diameter and 7/8-inch-thick front pipe is elevated to allow a 22-inch clearance between the front section and the ground. For loading efficiency, the unit is designed to keep loose material from escaping around the sides while directing it into its spacious 12-foot-wide cut.

Additional rugged-performance features of the new CS18-HD carry-all scraper include a heavier-duty framework, larger pins and cylinders, and massive trailing arms for optimum strength and durability.
