Metso acquires McCloskey

TE Connectivity signs definitive agreement to acquire the Kissling Group

TE Connectivity has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Kissling group of companies (Kissling or Kissling Group), a provider of high-power relays and ruggedized switches used in the commercial vehicle, transportation, industrial, military and aviation industries as well as other applications. The transaction is expected to close May 30, 2019, following the completion of customary regulatory approvals.

Load King buys boom truck, truck crane, crossover lines from Terex

Load King LLC, a manufacturer of quality specialized equipment and trailers, announced its acquisition of Terex Corporation's boom truck, crossover and truck crane product lines. The acquisition marks the latest milestone in the continued expansion of Load King's manufacturing portfolio, which already encompasses cutting-edge water tank, dump body, roofing conveyor, mechanics body and trailer lines.    

Allison Transmission acquires Vantage Power and AxleTech Electric Vehicle Systems Division

Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. has purchased Vantage Power and AxleTech's electric vehicle (EV) systems division. Allison Transmission has a more than 103-year history of leading technological advancements: from James Allison owning the winning race car of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 1915 to building every transmission that is in the United States Army's Abrams Battle Tank. Allison is building upon the legacy of those and other advancements with an electrification strategy that leverages and extends current electric hybrid technologies, develops new electrified propulsion solutions, and expands system and integration level capabilities in alternative propulsion. 

Fraco intensifies its internationalization

Quebec equipment supplier Fraco Products Ltd. has announced the acquisition of the factory of Torgar (Zaragoza, Spain), a Spanish manufacturer that has devoted more than 40 years to manufacture elevating equipment. This acquisition will enable the Quebec company to increase its production capacity and accelerate the implementation of its manufacturing activities in Europe.

Volvo CE acquires special applications firm CeDe

Volvo Construction Equipment has announced that it is to acquire special application partner CeDe Group for an undisclosed sum. CeDe Group is based in Malmo, Sweden, and the deal – which is expected to come into force by mid-March – will include its intellectual property, operations, other assets and staff of circa 45 full-time employees. As the annual volumes produced are relatively low, the deal will have no material effect on the income or financial position of Volvo CE.

Terex to sell Demag mobile cranes business to Tadano

The Terex Corporation is announcing that it has agreed to sell its Demag Mobile Cranes business to Tadano Ltd. for an enterprise value of approximately $215 million.  The Demag Mobile Cranes business manufactures and sells all terrain cranes and large crawler cranes.  Included in the transaction are the manufacturing facilities in Zweibrucken, Germany and multiple sales and service locations.  The sale, which is subject to government regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, is targeted to close in mid-2019.

United Rentals to acquire BakerCorp

United Rentals, Inc. and BakerCorp International Holdings, Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement under which United Rentals will acquire BakerCorp for approximately $715 million in cash. The boards of directors of United Rentals and BakerCorp have unanimously approved the agreement. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2018.

Bentley Systems acquires Synchro Software to extend digital workflows for infrastructure project delivery through 4D construction modelling

Bentley Systems, Incorporated has announced the acquisition of Synchro Software, headquartered in London, leader (and the market creator) in 4D construction modelling software for scheduling and project management. Synchro, "construction's time machine," has been globally adopted, in particular, for building and civil infrastructure projects. The acquisition broadens Bentley's ProjectWise construction offerings – which already include ConstructSim, for 4D construction modelling in project delivery of industrial plants. With construction project management in 4D, benefits of BIM can extend throughout infrastructure project delivery and asset lifecycles, as traditionally disconnected workflows become digital workflows. 

Trimble to Acquire Viewpoint - aims to create the industry’s most complete construction management platform

Trimble has announced today it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held Viewpoint from Bain Capital in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.2 billion. Viewpoint is highly complementary to Trimble's e-Builder business, and will extend Trimble's ability to provide more complete and integrated project, jobsite and business workflows across the construction lifecycle

GFL to Acquire Deep Foundations Group of Companies

GFLF Environmental Inc. has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the parent of Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. and its subsidiary corporations (the "Deep Group"). Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including certain regulatory approvals and other consents. GFL and the Deep Group will work together to obtain the required approvals and consents and expect to close the transaction in the second quarter of 2018.   

Trimble acquires e-Builder to expand its construction management solutions

Trimble has acquired privately held e-Builder, an SaaS-based construction program management solution for capital program owners and program management firms. e-Builder extends Trimble's ability to accelerate industry transformation by providing an integrated project delivery solution for owners, program managers and contractors across the design, construct and operate life cycle.

Kinshofer acquires New Zealand attachment manufacturer Doherty Group

Kinshofer has acquired Doherty  Group, a New Zealand–based excavator attachment manufacturer. Under the terms of the agreement, Kinshofer acquired 100 percent of the Doherty Group. The entire Doherty management team will stay with the company and Doherty Group co-owner and managing director Jeremy Doherty will remain as its managing director.

Linamar to purchase MacDon Group of Companies

Linamar Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding equity interests of MacDon and its Group of Companies for an aggregate purchase price of C$1,200 Million, less the assumption of small transaction related expenses, and subject to certain customary adjustments.
