Features & Benefits

Higher Payload Capability

Reducing the curb weight is an effective way to increase payload. And that’s what we’ve achieved with the new F-150, by up to 700 lbs. (317 kg), by giving it a military-grade, aluminum-alloy cab/body on a roll-formed high-strength steel frame.

Greater Towing Capacity

Powered by the available 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, the F-150 can tow up to 12,200 lbs. (5,533 kg). And with this best-in-class capability, F-150 offers smart features that help make towing easy.

Shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) system

ESOF lets you choose between two 4WD modes as well as 2WD. Switch between 2WD and 4WD HIGH mode at speeds up to 89 km/h.

Electronic-Locking Rear Differential

The available electronic-locking rear differential, when engaged, locks the rear axle completely to provide enhanced traction at both rear wheels at the same time.
