The 114SD offers a 114-inch BBC cab made of corrosion-resistant aluminum, reinforced with e-coated steel. It has a contoured hood slope for superior visibility and a 50-degree wheel cut for better maneuverability. Add key weight-saving components and our proprietary SmartPlex™ Electrical System, and you’ve definitely got the latest and greatest equipment for any construction job.

The 122SD is the ultimate work truck with up to 600 horsepower, a torque rating up to 2,050 lb-ft and a GCWR up to 160,000 lbs. It's rugged on the outside, yet comfortable on the inside. With a wheel cut up to 50-degrees and frame rail RBMs up to five million inch-pounds per rail it can haul anything from granite to logs to heavy equipment with ease – across severe terrain, down a mountain and around hairpin curves. We’ve designed it to be dependable, comfortable and profitable. So it can take you and your business to new heights.

Freightliner Trucks to feature new vocational option at World of Concrete

In addition, visitors to the Freightliner booth will gain access to a variety of bodied-up trucks on display, including 114SD concrete pumpers, cement mixers, volumetric cement mixers and more. The Detroit DD8 and DD13 engines will also be on display at the booth.

Michelin adds to decades-long innovation partnership with Daimler Trucks

In 2015, Michelin and DTNA began collaboration through an advanced-engineering project with the objective to reduce the fuel consumption of Freightliner's next-generation Cascadia Class 8 heavy-duty trucks.

Michelin North America, Inc. is partnering with Daimler Trucks North America on a key feature of the recently announced Freightliner Cascadia Class 8 heavy-duty truck. Three years in development, the MICHELIN X Line Energy D+ tire will be the featured long-haul drive-tire solution, contributing to the new Cascadia's 5 percent fuel-efficiency improvement over the 2017 model. With about 35 percent of vehicle fuel consumption attributed to overcoming tire rolling resistance, the MICHELIN X Line Energy D+ sets new standards for ultra-low rolling resistance in a dual drive tire (1) as one of DTNA's key fuel-efficiency building blocks in the new Cascadia.

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) introduced the first SAE Level 2 automated truck in series production in North America with the latest enhancements to the Freightliner new Cascadia. Level 2 automation means the truck is capable of both lateral (steering) and longitudinal (acceleration/deceleration) control, and is part of the revolutionary truck technologies featured by DTNA at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Freightliner Trucks premiered two fully electrified commercial vehicles, a Freightliner eCascadia heavy-duty truck and a Freightliner eM2 106 medium-duty truck, during the Daimler Trucks Capital Market and Technology Day in Portland, OR. Freightliner plans to deliver an Electric Innovation Fleet of 30 vehicles to customers later this year for further testing under real-world operating conditions.
