2030 targeted by Canada Green Building Council for development of world-leading retrofit economy

A new report published by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) sets out a series of comprehensive actions for industry, non-profit organizations and governments to build a world-leading retrofit economy by 2030 that improves the performance of existing buildings and creates new economic opportunities for Canadians. CaGBC's A Roadmap for Retrofits: Building Strong Market Infrastructure for the Retrofit Economy, was released in conjunction with a roundtable policy discussion hosted by Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr, CaGBC and Econoler in Ottawa.

Vancouver wins Global Government Leadership Award for Best Green Building Policy from World Green Building Council

The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) has announce that the City of Vancouver has won a World Green Building Council (WGBC) Government Leadership Award for Best Green Building Policy.  Announced at the UN Climate Change Convention in Warsaw, the Best Green Building Policy award recognizes international best practice in city-level government policy for green building initiatives.
