Chicago Pneumatic hydraulic excavator attachments have joined Epiroc's product lineup as part of the planned Epiroc split with Atlas Copco. The Epiroc RX breakers, RC compactors and CG contractor grapples will feature the same high performance and outstanding reliability as before, with enhanced support from Epiroc's dedicated hydraulic attachments organization.
Atlas Copco introduced three new electric plug-and-light LED light towers at World of Concrete. The HiLight P2+, V2+ and V3+ light towers can be powered directly from an auxiliary power source, a portable generator or the grid. The three energy-efficient additions offer easy portability, safe transportation and durability.
Epiroc AB, a subsidiary of Atlas Copco Group, has introduced the ER 1500 Drum Cutter excavator attachment at World of Concrete. The powerful transverse drum cutter is ideal for tunnelling, special foundation work, demolition and soil mixing, and features an integrated dust suppression system to help maximize safety and help to achieve OSHA silica dust regulations.
Epiroc AB, the subsidiary of Atlas Copco Group, is exhibiting at World of Concrete for the first time. Operating under its own brand name and logo, Epiroc is showcasing its hydraulic attachments product range at the international event, which runs January 23 – 26 in Las Vegas.
Atlas Copco has announced Power Technique North America LLC as the new name of Construction Equipment North America LLC, effective January 1, 2018.
Husqvarna Group’s Construction Division has signed an agreement to acquire the Light Compaction & Concrete Equipment business from Atlas Copco.
"Atlas Copco's Light Compaction & Concrete Equipment business fits well into Husqvarna Construction's strategy for expanding deeper into the market segment of Concrete Surfaces and Floors" says Kai Wärn, President and CEO of Husqvarna Group. "This step will further reinforce our leadership position in this segment and complement the recent acquisitions. Strategically, the build-up of this area also supports our overall ambition of growing the Construction Division's share in the Husqvarna Group."
As of January 1, 2018, the Hydraulic Attachment Tools division within Atlas Copco will become part of the Epiroc, the company that Atlas Copco plans to dividend out in mid 2018. The division manufactures excavator attachment tools such as hydraulic breakers, cutters, pulverizers, bucket crushers, shears, grapples and magnets. Also effective from that date, all the division's current products will be delivered with Epiroc product branding.
