The expansion includes five new assembly lines, a prototyping lab, a new paint system and robotic weld cells, enhanced technologies infrastructure and is expected to be complete at the end of calendar year 2019.
Vanguard expands its lineup of electronic fuel injection offerings to include a horizontal-shaft Small Block V-Twin engine. The Small Block engine features an open-loop EFI system with electronic governing engineered for the demands of the commercial construction and rental markets. With the addition of this engine, Vanguard EFI is now available on four engine platforms across nine horsepower ratings varying in output from 23 to 37 gross horsepower.
Vanguard introduces the first in a complete line of all-new single-cylinder horizontal shaft commercial gasoline engines built from the ground up based on customer input. Vanguard developed the new engines around key areas of performance critical to improving overall productivity, including starting, maintenance intervals, service and support, and total cost of ownership. The new line will span from 5 to 13 gross horsepower to meet power requirements for a wide range of global commercial applications.
Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power introduces an upgraded and expanded line of Commercial Series V-Twin engines backed by a global three-year commercial limited warranty. The light-duty commercial line now includes nine models, ranging from 16 to 27 gross horsepower.
Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power engines are now available for propane conversion through Propane Power Systems. The EPA-certified conversions are available for 11 Vanguard and Commercial Series engines, ranging in displacement from 205cc single-cylinder horizontals up to 993cc BIG BLOCK V-Twin engines. These certified converted engines allow equipment manufacturers to offer propane to customers looking to take advantage of the benefits of propane-powered equipment.
