Case Construction Equipment showed an accessible backhoe loader prototype at bauma 2019. The machine has been developed to ensure that operators of all mobility levels can be members of the Case operators' community.
Trimble Earthworks Grade Control Platform version 1.9 comes with support for fully automatic guidance for excavator tiltrotator attachments and Trimble Universal Total Stations for motor graders. Full automatic support for tiltrotators makes the attachment easy to use and learn, even for operators who have never used a tiltrotator. Universal Total Station support allows contractors to achieve millimeter-accurate fine grading with a motor grader.
DEUTZ brought its REVOLUTIONIZING POWER - High-Performance Advanced Drive Systems to the bauma trade fair in Munich in early April. For the first time, it presented a range of innovative drive systems for zero-carbon off-highway applications of tomorrow. The international leading manufacturer of engines for the off-highway sector is now able to offer individual combinations of diesel, gas, hydrogen, hybrid and electrified drives as part of a modular product system.
Towering over the Manitowoc stand at bauma 2019 was the new Potain MDT 809, the largest topless crane ever built by the manufacturer. While delivering unprecedented lift capacity and reach, the new crane also boasts an advanced design that provides reduced operating costs and easier assembly for owners.

Attracting dozens of visitors from all over the world to test their operating skills on its Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) VR simulator at the bauma trade show in Munich, Germany, Edmonton-based pioneer of virtual reality (VR) training solutions Serious Labs announced the winner of its "Smooth Operator" contest, Nico Reinhold of Nimo Industries. Reinhold not only skated away with the grand prize but was also officially certified as a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) operator.
