SCG acquires Custom Equipment and Hy-Brid Lifts brand

An affiliate of Stratford-Cambridge Group (SCG) has acquired Custom Equipment. Founded in 1981 as a welding and fabrication business, Custom first developed lifts for the cemetery and mausoleum markets which evolved into a full product range of scissor lifts and aerial work platforms for the construction and industrial markets featuring an electric drivetrain, low weight and high maneuverability.

Custom Equipment’s Heavy-Duty, Lightweight HB-1430 Offers Greater Capacity, Less Damage Potential

With Custom Equipment’s Hy-Brid HB-1430 low-level scissor lifts, contractors and maintenance technicians can complete nearly any project at working heights up to 20 feet. In addition, the all-purpose lifts allow end users to handle jobs that include multiple applications from start to finish in industries as diverse as construction, drywall, electrical, HVAC, industrial manufacturing, painting and plumbing.

HB-1430 scissor lift

The HB-1430 is a compact, lightweight scissor lift that weighs 1,650 pounds with a rated load capacity of 670 pounds. Units include a two-person, 25-inch by 60-inch platform, with a 30-inch slide out deck extension. The HB-1430 has a mere 27-inch lowered platform height and has 20 feet of platform working height.
