Dodge adds three units to it's Heavy Duty pickup line

For 2011, Dodge has added the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab trucks to its lineup which includes the Dakota, Ram 1500, and Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty pickups.

Engine choices are the 5.7-litre HEMI V-8 engine or the powerful 6.7-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel. The 5.7-litre HEMI engine offers a combination of power and fuel economy with 390 horsepower and 20 mpg highway.

The Cummins Turbo Diesel-equipped Ram pickup, with major overhaul intervals of 350,000 miles, is the only heavy-duty pickup to meet 2011 EPA compliance rules without the need for a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).

Ram Chassis Cab is offered in four cab-axle lengths (60, 84, 108 and 120 inches) for 4500/5500 and two cab-axle lengths (60 and 80 inches) for 3500.

Ram 3500 models feature two axles with three axle ratios (3.42, 3.73 and 4.10) while Ram 4500/5500 models have one axle with three axle ratios (4.10, 4.44 and 4.88). Ram trucks now have coil spring rear suspension on Ram 1500.
