Powerful compactor for steep slope applications

Powerful compactor for steep slope applications
The track drive on Sakai’s CV550 track-driven, vibratory soil compactor gives the machine the necessary traction and grade-ability to climb steep slopes – up to 100 percent, or 45 degrees – while compacting. This feature is especially useful for landfill slopes, earthen dams and other steep embankments, enabling contractors to compact quickly, without the need for a winch. In addition to its climbing ability, the CV550 sports a whopping 61,729 pounds of centrifugal force or 917 pounds per linear inch of total applied force over its 84-inch drum. This combination of traction and compaction makes it the most powerful compactor available for steep slope applications.
