Hydraulic breakers HB-Series from Volvo
Volvo’s new range of HB-Series low noise and vibration breakers for compact equipment rounds out the total Volvo range of hydraulic breakers to maximize construction equipment customers’ productivity and profitability.
The new low noise HB-Series for compact equipment includes the following models: HB100, HB150, HB200, HB300 and HB450. Also available is the HB440, a purpose-built hydraulic breaker that has been optimized for use with Volvo backhoe loaders. All HB-Series breakers are designed to handle a wide range of hydraulic flow ranges for versatile machine compatibility.
For high production and performance, each breaker delivers high-impact energy through a heavy, long stroke piston. This ensures 100 percent of the hydraulic power is converted into full-power blows with optimal striking force. The impact rate can be controlled to suit the application. Low and high-pressure accumulators control the piston so its recoil energy is absorbed, harnessed and used to increase force on the power stroke.
To ensure long component life, a pressure-adjusting valve eliminates disturbances from mechanical stress waves. To help distribute stress more evenly and extend tie rod life, all tie rods and bolts utilize asymmetrical threads.
The HB-Series breakers are compatible with a wide range of tools/bits, including moil points, chisels, shovels and compacting plates.
