McCloskey’s “high energy” screener closes gap between midrange and high-volume portable plants
McCloskey’s new vibratory flatdeck screening system features a 5- by 14-foot screening box. The S130 “high energy” screening plant opens the door for most producers to upsize their throughput capacity without having to invest in the industry’s largest mobile systems.
Previously, quarry and pit operators would have to commit to as much as 80 percent more production to achieve any increase in capacity from existing 10-foot and 11-foot screening plants – a risky leap for most businesses. The new McCloskey screener closes the gap to let producers expand their business incrementally and at significantly lower cost.
To match the increased screening capacity, the S130 is equipped with a large 10.5 cubic yard hopper – a typical capacity for other 20-foot screening plants. The ‘taper out’ design of the hopper strongly resists bridging and includes a large remote controlled tipping grid as standard.
The S130 screening plant is based on the new “high energy” screen box design developed by McCloskey to maximize available vibratory power with a longer stroke and heavy duty eccentrics. The screener also provides an expanded range of control over several key areas of the screening process. This improved control allows operators to optimize throughput for widely varied materials by fine-tuning the screener.
The engine bay provides ample room for technicians to stand and move inside, along with their tools and equipment.
The S130 also provides excellent portability, with minimal time required to prepare the plant for travel or set up at the work site. A remote control track crawler base is standard for on-site transport and is available with a roll-in tandem axle bogie for highway travel without a float. The plant is also offered as a tandem-axle wheeled model.
