Kobelco SK210LC Acera Mark 8 excavator
Kobelco reports that the new SK210LC Acera Mark 8 hydraulic excavator combines industry-leading bucket and arm digging forces with unmatched precision control to handle the toughest digging assignments, along with fine grading and level-ling applications. Powered by a 150-hp turbocharged fuel-injected engine that is Tier III certified, the SK210LC has an operating weight of 47,800 pounds, digs to 22 feet and provides a maximum reach of 31 feet 11 inches at ground line. “The new SK210LC has been repowered for performance and productivity,” said Paul Golevicz, brand marketing manager at Kobelco. To meet Tier III engine requirements, the SK210LC is equipped with a proven 6-cylinder diesel engine with intercooler turbocharger. “The engine features 490 ft-lbs of net torque at 1,200 rpm – a 14 percent increase in engine torque. Swing torque on the new machine has also been increased by 10 percent, making it much easier to move heavy loads,” Golevicz said.

The power boost system on the SK210LC provides 10 percent more power on command for increased bucket breakout force, without time limitations. The new excavator also provides outstanding drawbar pull force, giving the operator confidence to climb a grade under heavy load.

Featuring a refined, Intelligent Total Control System (ITCS), this new excavator provides incredibly smooth response of hydraulic controls for very fine finishing and grading applications. Another advantage, the independent travel circuit, provides dedicated flow for excavator travel.

The auto-acceleration system on the SK210LC increases engine rpms in proportion to the operator’s movement of the control levers, resulting in even acceleration for precise operations.

The spacious, ergonomically designed cab on the SK210LC provides easy egress, maximum operator comfort, progressive hydraulic acceleration and an unrivaled, 360-degree view of the worksite.
