For a machine with a swing radius less than 6 feet, Liebherr’s new R 924 Compact Swing excavator offers excellent reach of 32 feet 10 inches, as well as superior dump height of 28 feet 3 inches. Operating weight is 52,690 to 58,643 pounds and bucket capacity is 0.46 to 1.57 cubic yards.

The operator’s cab is the largest in its class, the company reports. The oversize windows provide the operator with an unobstructed panoramic view of the entire work area. Automatic climate control is standard; sensors continuously monitor the temperature settings to ensure operator comfort for a full day’s work.

Critical service points are all concentrated in one location which is easily accessed from the ground. Daily checks can be performed quickly and efficiently ensuring a minimal amount of down-time. The swing drive on the R 924 Compact Swing is completely maintenance free as it has a semi-automatic central lubrication system.

The R 924 Compact Swing has a rugged undercarriage designed for stability on all terrains. Liebherr’s 164-hp (121kW), four-cylinder diesel engine and electronics efficiently convert the engine output into hydraulic performance, which results in increased output, decreased fuel consumption and extended life for the diesel engine.
