Hammers optimize drilling in soft and medium rock
The new “C” Series of Mission DTH (down-the-hole) hammers from Sandvik Mining and Construction features a new thread design on both ends of the piston case and corresponding top sub and driver sub, preventing premature failures of internal components, including piston failures. This new design also reduces unintentional unscrewing of the driver sub.
The hammers are designed to prevent problems resulting from loose drilling. These hammers are ideal for soft to medium rock formations. The “C” Series hammers’ top sub has a single lead thread, which makes a very strong connection with the piston case. The driver sub has a double thread, which prevents the driver sub from coming loose in soft-to-medium ground.
