Sales up from last year
The July 2010 AEM Construction Equipment Trend Index, which provides a monthly revenue & unit activity indicator and trend line, attached, is now available on the AEM website here.
July 2010 sales rose 13.7% from the same period a year ago, and rose 5.9% from the previous month. July 2010 Units rose 21.0% from the same period a year ago, and rose 10.7% from the previous month.
The AEM index charts the overall shipments/retail sales data reported into the association's statistical reporting programs, as a tool to help members better gauge industry activity and assess their own performance. The data is based on units sold of a selection of products, with the value index being calculated on units and averaged prices. The data covers U.S. and Canadian markets.
