Telehandler provides precision 4-wheel steering

The Carraro 26.43 axle is the first axle optimized for the demands of telehandler four-wheel steering. The axle is now available as part of the new PrecisionSteer system on all of Pettibone’s 6,000-, 8,000- and 10,000-pound telehandlers.

The new axle improves steering geometry by 50 percent. Testing shows that tire wear on improved surfaces has also been cut in half, along with significant reductions in rolling resistance and stresses in the wheels, bearings, steering cylinders and other components, according to the company.
