Screening attachment easy to use and can save money
The FlipScreen is a portable, mechanical screening attachment which has been proven in Australia and which is now available in North America. Units are designed for C&D, waste recycling, earthmoving, mining and public works.

The attachment is essentially a two-part bucket virtually identical in size and shape to a standard earthmoving bucket, with no internal moving parts. Material is sieved out through a mesh screening chamber as the FlipScreen rotates, while larger particles are retained inside by the unit’s inward spiralling action. Counter rotating the bucket ejects all the remaining oversize, and changing the mesh size on these units to screen another grade is easy – taking only minutes, and it requires no tools.

Units utilize European-designed hydraulics and super high-tensile steel and can screen just about any material. Operation is also easy – operators simply scoop up the load and activate standard auxiliary hydraulics. The FlipScreen does the rest with no need for shaking or jerking the lever back and forth.

A large Sydney contractor recently used their E130 Excavator FlipScreen to screen 5,000 tons of rocky material removed in a large tunnel construction job in less than two weeks, on a part-time basis. The minus 75mm rock material was separated by the FlipScreen and reused as part of the reinforced earth tunnel wall while the oversize rock was taken off-site.

Use of the FlipScreen to screen and recover material on-site saved the contractor approximately US$11.66 per ton, or in total US$57,800 in waste disposal fees, transport and fuel costs, purchase of raw materials and so forth over the two-week job.
