JCB offers more versatility with two new mid-size skid-steer loaders
The side-door entry eliminates the need to climb over buckets, pallet forks, and other attachments to enter or exit the machine
JCB is expanding its compact equipment lineup with the new 250 and 290 skid-steer loaders. The new models are designed to meet the demands of North American construction and landscape professionals with improved performance, versatility, and operator-focused innovations to assist crews with everyday material handling.
Powered by a 74-hp engine, the 250 and 290 are engineered to support a wide range of attachments and tackle daily jobs, from loading trucks and moving pallets to grading, site cleanup, and material handling. The machines introduce JCB's single-arm boom design to a new size class, pairing visibility with a convenient side-door entry.
Simplified everyday material handling
The new 250 and 290 skid-steer loaders introduce JCB's loader design to the popular mid-size weight class, providing a balance of lifting performance, manoeuvrability, and versatility.
The 250 and 290 have rated operating capacities of approximately 2,531 and 3,029 pounds, respectively, with hinge pin heights reaching more than 10 feet. That combination provides the reach and lifting capability needed to load trucks, handle palletized materials, move bulk aggregates, and place supplies. They offer high-flow hydraulic options and compatibility with a broad range of skid-steer attachments.
Both models maintain a compact footprint and deliver the manoeuvrability that operators need to work efficiently around residential job sites, commercial developments, landscape projects, and other confined work areas where larger equipment may not fit.
