Hyundai expands HX excavator lineup with the HX210L
The long-track excavator includes productivity and fuel efficiency upgrades available on the Next-Gen HX excavator line

The new HX210L long-track excavator from HD Construction Equipment Hyundai North America incorporates many of the new features first shown on the five Next-Generation HX excavator models that debuted earlier this year at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. These include productivity-driving upgrades, improved fuel efficiency, and changes that make the HX210L even more comfortable, safer, and easier to service.
The HX210L features a new, high-performance Hyundai DX05 engine, rated at 186 hp (139 kW) net power, that delivers six percent more torque and seven percent greater fuel efficiency, while reducing DEF consumption by 30 percent. Other improvements include added comfort features, extended service intervals, and enhanced safety features.
The Hyundai HX210L has a rated operating weight of 54,900 lb (24,900 kg) and maximum dig depth of 21 feet 9 inches (6.32 metres).
According to Joe Hodges, Hyundai's product manager for excavators, the HX210L's proven pilot-controlled hydraulic system delivers the traditional feel and performance operators already appreciate from Hyundai, while making it a budget-friendly choice for rental houses and larger fleets.
Built on the same heavy-duty platform as the more robustly equipped HX230L, the HX210L comes standard with a 10,800 lb (4,900 kg) heavy counterweight to enhance stability and lifting capacity. Its reinforced upper structure, upgraded swing bearing, increased swing torque, and larger-capacity, heavy-duty buckets help boost productivity.
Operator-focused comfort features
Hyundai has upgraded operator comfort features, including making standard a wider, heated/cooled seat and improved venting for exceptional climate control. Owner-operators may also take advantage of optional comfort features.
Hyundai has also extended replacement intervals for engine oil, engine filters and fuel filters from 500 to 1,000 hours when using a CK-4 engine oil, and extended coolant replacement intervals from 2,000 to 6,000 hours.
A new, optional safety feature is a white-noise alert tone that uses a wideband frequency to warn people on the jobsite of the machine's presence. The sound quickly dissipates compared to other buzzers, reducing noise complaints. Other optional safety features include Smart Around View Monitoring that works off six cameras and applies AI to automatically detect people passing or working around the machine during operation.
Five years of Hyundai Connect, Hyundai's proprietary remote-management system, comes free of charge on the HX210L. This includes location tracking and theft prevention, maintenance notifications and fleet monitoring.
