Dash 5 Highway Class pavers from Vögele with redesigned screed system
The SUPER 2000-5 X and its wheeled variant reduce the operator’s workload with automated steering and screed width and pave control

Vögele has brought its SUPER 2000-5 X and SUPER 2003-5 X Highway Class pavers with its newly designed VR 600 and VF 600 screeds to the market. The machines are designed to offer operator comfort, automated processes, and shorter setup times, as well as minimal noise and reduced exhaust emissions.
First shown in Las Vegas at construction's biggest show
Debuted at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 for the North American market, the SUPER 2000-5 X tracked paver enables paving widths of 10 feet to 27 feet, 9 inches, while the wheeled variant, SUPER 2003-5 X, achieves paving widths of up to 25 feet. Both pavers offer a laydown rate of up to 1,540 US t/hr and are designed for high paving speeds. As Dash 5-generation machines, they also combine user-friendliness, process automation, and cost efficiency. Several new features increase operator comfort and reduce the commissioning and setup times. This increases productivity while simultaneously reducing costs for transportation or rework.
New Dash 5 screeds reimagine basic equipment
Both pavers can be used in combination with the new VR 600 and VF 600 screeds. The VR 600 with screed extensions mounted behind the basic screed is equipped with a completely redesigned guidance system that simplifies paving concrete profiles. In addition, its low height affords an ideal overview of the inside of the auger tunnel.
The VF 600 with extensions mounted in front of the basic screed offers an optimized material flow for particularly even material spreading. The extensions of both screed types can be tilted by up to 10 percent and are thus precisely aligned with the paving needs of the North American market. In conjunction with the vibration compaction system (V), they achieve optimal evenness and pre-compaction.
New automated controls make asphalt paving easier than ever
Both the screeds and the pavers of the new Dash 5 generation are designed entirely with their users in mind: With the upgraded ErgoPlus 5 operating concept, Vögele provides a better overview, more comfort and storage options, improved ergonomics, and an optional touchscreen display for digital applications.
The new Paver Access Control function (PAC) enables convenient commissioning and decommissioning of the Dash 5 paver from ground level. In addition, the Lighting Package Plus option with permanently integrated LED floodlights provides additional safety and shorter setup times when working on construction sites at night.
With automatic functions such as AutoTrac automatic steering and screed width control or Smart Pave digital paving control, the Dash 5 pavers reduce the users' workload while simultaneously increasing efficiency and quality. Furthermore, the digital solution Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) Paving enables precise documentation of the paving process and the work on the construction site. The new RoadScan option can also be added to enable precise, full-coverage measurement of the paving temperature over a measuring width of up to 42 feet, 8 inches.
Reducing emissions on high-energy projects
Vögele has also implemented several measures designed to reduce the Dash 5 paver's CO2 and noise emissions. These include the improved EcoPlus low-emissions package. The speed-controlled fan has been adapted so that it calculates the required rotational speed even more precisely and, together with other measures, reduces noise emissions.
The new Dash 5 Mini Class paver satisfied the most compact job needs
Apart from the Highway Class Pavers, Vögele also debuted a Mini Class Paver, the SUPER 800-5 P. The successor to the SUPER 700i, the new machine has an engine rated output of 74 hp (55.4 kW), a laydown rate of up to 330 US t/hr, and, with a width of only 4 feet, 7 inches and a length of 14 feet, 5 inches, is also extremely compact. In combination with extending screeds AB 200 and AB 220 and the vibration or tamper and vibration compaction variants, it offers paving widths between 1 foot, 8 inches and 11 feet, 6 inches — making it the ideal choice for paving on narrow construction sites. Compared to its predecessor, the Dash 5 model also incorporates numerous new features.
New hopper geometry and new operator's platform
Vögele's optimized material hopper features an asymmetrical wall configuration; for instance, paving along a wall is now possible on both sides. Furthermore, the hopper walls of SUPER 800-5 P now feature a double folding function. This gives the operator an unobstructed view ahead of the paver. Vögele has further improved the ergonomics of the operator's platform: The angle of the new ErgoBasic paver operator's console can now be adjusted in four steps to accommodate taller or smaller operators. For the first time, the paver operator's console of the new ErgoBasic 5 operating concept features an integrated display on which the operator can view the operational data of the machine in real-time. In addition, Vögele has fully integrated the operation of the Auto Grade Basic system for automated grade and slope control into the machine control system. This means that screed operators can now control the SUPER 800-5 P via console in compact form.
