Yanmar integrates ASV technology into new unified compact track loader lineup

The company now offers both Posi Track and steel-embedded undercarriage systems for CTLs

Yanmar introduced two new compact track loader pilot models, the TL25RP and TL50RP, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 as part of a strategy to unify its compact track loader lineup under a single Yanmar brand — One Yanmar.

A first look at the TL25RP and TL50RP CTLs

Both machines feature ASV Posi Track undercarriage technology with a fully suspended torsion axle system designed to improve traction, stability, digging performance, and material retention on soft or uneven terrain. The machines were displayed in Yanmar Red as part of a phased rollout planned for the fall of 2026.

Specifications and design

The TL50RP compact track loader is powered by a 53.8-horsepower engine, while the TL25RP is a smaller model powered by a 23.2-horsepower engine and is designed for compact jobsites. The RP designation indicates a radial lift configuration paired with the Posi Track undercarriage.

Both models use a suspended undercarriage with torsion axles. On Posi Track machines, additional suspension in the mid rollers allows the tracks to move independently over rough terrain, improving ride quality and maintaining track contact with the ground.

Unlike steel-embedded track systems, the Posi Track design does not include steel reinforcement inside the rubber track. The increased flexibility allows the track to conform more easily to uneven surfaces and maintain traction in soft conditions.

Yanmar combines CTL platforms under one brand

Yanmar will offer two distinct track systems within one compact track loader lineup. One platform uses the ASV Posi Track system, designed for traction and flotation in soft, wet, slippery, or uneven terrain. The other platform uses steel embedded track systems engineered for durability in construction environments and on hard surfaces.

According to the company, this makes Yanmar the first original equipment manufacturer to offer both undercarriage technologies within a single compact track loader lineup.

Brand integration follows ASV acquisition

The new machines are part of a broader integration of the ASV and Yanmar compact track loader portfolios. Yanmar acquired ASV in 2019 and has continued to produce compact track loaders at its facility in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

"We are preserving what makes ASV innovative and bringing it forward under Yanmar to give dealers and customers one clear story and one stronger presence in the market as One Yanmar," says Anna Sgro, president of Yanmar Compact Equipment North America.

As part of the integration, machines that incorporate ASV technology will transition to Yanmar branding while retaining the Posi Track system and ASV heritage. The unified portfolio includes compact track loaders, mini excavators, compact wheel loaders, and tracked carriers.

Since acquiring ASV, Yanmar has invested more than $32 million in automation, innovation, and manufacturing technology at its Grand Rapids, Minnesota, facility, where Yanmar and ASV compact track loaders are produced.

Over the next five years, Yanmar plans to invest an additional $30 million to further expand engineering capacity and production for compact track loaders in North America.

Additional equipment shown at CONEXPO

In addition to the compact track loader pilot models, Yanmar displayed several other machines at the show.

The CL26 compact wheel loader prototype expands the company's wheel loader range. The machine is designed for compact worksites and features a visibility focused cab and operator controls aimed at productivity.

The SV60 mini excavator is a 5.9 ton machine currently available in Europe and planned for introduction in North America. It uses Yanmar's ViPPS hydraulic system and is intended for construction, landscaping, land management, utilities installation, and demolition applications.
