Bobcat introduces two-category compact loader strategy to simplify selection
The company has also introduced CTL and SSL models with a 12-foot lift height

Bobcat Company has introduced a new two-category compact loader strategy to help contractors and rental houses better identify and select the right skid-steer or compact track loader. These two categories, Classic and Pro, are intended to simplify the choice between a classic, reliable Bobcat loader, or a Bobcat loader outfitted with the latest technology features.
"Nearly 70 years ago, Bobcat introduced the world's first compact loader, defining an entirely new way to work on the job site," says Mike Ballweber, president, Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. "This evolution of Bobcat loaders builds on that legacy by pairing the power and durability our customers expect with intelligence and simplicity designed for a changing workforce."
Bobcat's Classic loader lineup
Bobcat says its Classic loaders deliver proven Bobcat performance with familiar controls and competitive pricing, ideal for landscapers, rental fleets, and general construction applications.
Classic compact track loaders include the T450, T595, T650, and T770. Classic skid-steer loaders include the S70, S450, S590, S650, and S770.
The Classic loaders can be outfitted with either selectable joystick controls (SJC) or optional hand and foot controls, along with two-speed travel, automatic ride control, keyless ignition, and a deluxe display with optional integrated rear camera.
Bobcat's Pro loader lineup
Bobcat Pro loaders are packed with Bobcat's latest available job site innovations, including control, performance, and technology advancements.
Pro compact track loaders include the T64-2, T66-2, T76-2, and T86-2. Pro skid-steer loaders include the S64-2, S66-2, S76-2, and S86-2.
Bobcat's Pro loaders are packed with features
On the Pro loaders, four drive modes with enhanced control software deliver precision and responsiveness that operators can tailor to their preference or application.
Balanced drive mode offers smooth, predictable response for precise work that requires steady control. It is ideal for grading, material placement, and confined job sites.
Agile is a versatile drive mode designed for everyday operation, providing responsive control across a wide range of tasks and mixed applications.
Dynamic drive mode offers sharper acceleration and quicker response for high-productivity work where faster cycle times and confident control are essential.
Charged drive mode gives the operator maximum responsiveness and speed for working in open areas, enabling high-productivity work with precise control.
Bobcat has also strategically reduced weight on the new Pro loaders which, combined with structural optimization, increases agility while maintaining performance. Redesigned electrical systems also offer improved reliability in demanding work environments.
In the cab operators will appreciate heated air-ride seats, added storage, and an intuitive 8-inch touchscreen display with infotainment and an integrated rear camera.
Also among the Pro loaders Bobcat is introducing the T86-2 and S86-2 which offer 115 hp and a 12-foot lift height — meeting the demand for CTLs and SSLs that can reach over high dump bodies.
Bobcat's additive technology strategy
Bobcat is introducing new integrated technology options designed to further simplify operation, elevate job site awareness, and help operators of every skill level work more confidently and efficiently. Bobcat's newest technology innovations are the Bobcat Jobsite Companion and Jobsite Awareness Systems.
Jobsite Companion is the first AI-enabled solution in the compact equipment industry and is available as an option on Pro loaders in the U.S. Jobsite Companion simplifies machine operation with voice commands, automated attachment settings, and real-time job site insights, allowing operators to keep their hands on the controls while automating more than 50 machine functions. Bobcat's built-in job cost dashboard enables the operator to track operation cost compared to job estimates to improve profit.
Jobsite Awareness Systems are available as optional features on Pro loaders in the U.S. and Canada, and Bobcat is offering both camera- and radar-based systems. Bobcat View camera options on the Pro loaders offer either a rear view or a broad-area view that covers the rear and sides of the machine. The Bobcat Sense Detection Systems offers two additional detection options: Rear Object Detection and Avoidance is a radar-based system that detects objects and people behind the machine and can alert the operator or automatically slow or stop the loader, and 360 People Detection is a camera-based system that identifies and alerts operators to the presence of people around the machine without intervening in machine motion.
These technologies provide added awareness on demanding job sites, giving operators more information to manoeuvre confidently and stay focused on the job.
"One of the major drivers of our loader evolution is accelerating the pace of innovation across our lineup," says Brad Claus, Bobcat senior vice president of North America construction equipment. "With our shift from series to categories, we will release innovations more frequently at the model level, without waiting for an entirely new series to launch. And with new technologies in place, we can deliver meaningful updates to customers more often.
"This launch isn't just about new machines, it's about how people work," adds Claus. "By giving operators more choice, more control and smarter technology, we're building equipment that adapts alongside the workforce and the job sites of tomorrow."
Expect to see the new loader models at select North American dealerships beginning summer 2026.
